About Us

Breezy Acres Stables, owned by Carrie and her family, was established in 2009 and is proudly located in Oconto, Wisconsin, 25 minutes north of Green Bay. From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: to provide exceptional care and thoughtful, individualized support for both horse and rider.

Carrie brings a lifelong passion for horses to everything she does. While she began her professional journey earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, her path ultimately led her back to horses—where her heart had always been. That foundation in nursing continues to influence her work today, giving her a deeper understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics in both humans and horses.

Over the years, Carrie has studied a wide range of horsemanship approaches, guided by incredible mentors and, most importantly, by the horses themselves—her greatest teachers. She is a graduate of the Midwest Natural Healing for Animals program (MNHA) and is certified in equine massage therapy, adding a valuable layer of care and support for the horses she works with. In addition, Carrie is also certified in myofascial release, k tape, magnawave practitioner, and hoof trimming.

For more than ten years, Carrie has been dedicated to studying Connected Riding, including six years learning under Debbie Davies. This work has become a cornerstone of her approach. By combining bodywork with connected groundwork and riding, Carrie helps horses release tension, improve posture, and move more freely and comfortably. Her goal is not just temporary relief, but lasting change—helping horses and riders develop better patterns together.

At Breezy Acres, we offer a range of services including bodywork, lessons, clinics, and workshops designed to support the whole horse-and-rider partnership. One of our newest offerings, Ground Poles and Posture: What to Expect, blends poles and obstacles to help horses develop healthy, weight-bearing posture while giving riders insight into their horse’s movement and communication.

This website, along with our Facebook page (Breezy Acres Equine Services, LLC) was created as a place for you to explore our services, stay updated on upcoming events, and learn along the way. Our blog features monthly articles, helpful tips, and real-life transformations to support your journey with your horse.

We’re excited to continue growing, learning, and sharing this work with you. Whether you’re interested in lessons, bodywork, or hosting a clinic or massage day, Carrie is happy to travel and collaborate.
